For me 2019 has flown by, do you feel the same? It has also been a very strange year overall.

It was the first full year without my dad. That made it a tough year. To top it off, three months in I got injured training for a half marathon to raise money for heart disease. Which turned out to be a result of a previous injury that wasn’t fully healed (falling off a climbing wall last year). That meant three months into the year my usual outlet of running was no longer an option. Not the smoothest start.

Instead, I began to hide away in my little study. I started building up the rest of my habits. Becoming unapologetic with them. Meditating consistently, having a daily gratitude exercise. I started writing again. Instead of running, I wrote a book to throw my full energy into and to distract myself from the grief I still felt about losing my dad. Suddenly I had a finished book and no idea what to do with it or whether or not I could get it published at all (still figuring that out, so tips are very welcome!). What was meant to be an outlet made me instead realize I wanted to write more. As well as hopefully inspire others more through my writing and speaking at events.
